ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಗಂಡನು ಅವಳು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವೇ. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ತರಬಾರದು.

King James Version (KJV): Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that [is] abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance.

4ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಗಂಡನು ಅವಳು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವೇ. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ತರಬಾರದು.
5ಒಬ್ಬನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡಬಾರದು; ಅವನಿಂದ ಯಾವ ದೊಂದೂ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಬಾರದು; ಅವನು ಒಂದು ವರುಷ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ತಾನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು.
6ಬೀಸುವ ಕಲ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಿಕಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಮೇಲ್ಕಲ್ಲಾ ದರೂ ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗಿರುವದು.
