ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಿ; ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಕೂಡ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗು ವರು.

Kumaara kumaarteyarannu padeyuvi; aadare avara kooda santoshisu vadilla; yaakandare avaru sereyaagi hogu varu.

39ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಕಾಪಾ ಡುವಿ; ಆದರೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಣ್ಣು ಕೂಡಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹುಳ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವದು.
40ಎಣ್ಣೇ ಮರಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವು. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಎಣ್ಣೇ ಫಲಗಳು ಉದುರುವವು.
41ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಿ; ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಕೂಡ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗು ವರು.
42ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೊಲದ ಪೈರನ್ನೂ ಈ ಮಿಡತೆ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವದು.
43ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರವಾಸಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುವನು; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಕೆಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವಿ.
