1. 12ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.
2. 13ಆರು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ದುಡಿದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
3. 14ಏಳನೇ ದಿವಸವು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವೇ; ಅದ ರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ಮಗಳೂ ದಾಸನೂ ದಾಸಿಯೂ ಎತ್ತೂ ಕತ್ತೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾಪಶುಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರವಾಸಿಯೂ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸ ವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನೂ ದಾಸಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
4. 15ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸನಾಗಿದ್ದಿ ಎಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾಚಿದ ತೋಳಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನೆಂದೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
5. 16ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು.
