ಇಗೋ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆ ನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸಂಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ:

- 26ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಉರುಲುಗಳೂ ಬಲೆ ಗಳೂ ಅವಳ ಕೈಗಳ ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಮರಣಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದವನು ಅವಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಪಾಪಿಯು ಅವಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು.
- 27ಇಗೋ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆ ನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸಂಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ:
- 28ಅದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಸಾವಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರಾದರೋ ಅನೇಕ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
- 29ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರಾದರೋ ಅನೇಕ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
