ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆ ವಾರ್ತೆಯವರು ಬಂದು ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ಕರಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡಿದರು.

- 13ಆಗ ಹಾಮಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಜೆರೆಷಳಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೂ ತನಗೆ ಆದ ದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಜೆರೆಷಳೂ ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯಾವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೀಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ದ್ದೀಯೋ, ಆ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವಂಶಸ್ಥನಾ ಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಲಾರಿ; ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದೇಬೀಳುವಿ ಅಂದರು.ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆ ವಾರ್ತೆಯವರು ಬಂದು ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಮಾನನನ್ನು ಕರಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡಿದರು.
