1. 3ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರು ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಬ್ರಿಯರ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೇ? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸು.
2. 4ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನಾಳೆಯೇನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡು ವೆನು.
3. 5ಒಬ್ಬನು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವದಕ್ಕಾಗದಷ್ಟು ಅವು ಭೂಮುಖವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು; ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವು ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಗದೆ ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಗುರಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮರವನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡು ವವು.
4. 6ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮನೆ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಳ ತಂದೆಗಳಾಗಲಿ ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಂಥದ್ದನ್ನು ಎಂದೂ ನೋಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.
5. 7ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇವನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಮಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಆ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು. ಐಗುಪ್ತವು ನಾಶವಾಯಿ ತೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದರು.
