ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದರಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು, ಕೆಲವರು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದರು.

- 15ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು--ಇದು ಮನ್ನಾ ಅಂದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಏನಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯು ಇದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 16ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತಾನು ಎಷ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನುವನೋ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಲಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಓಮೆರದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

- 18ಓಮೆರ ದಿಂದ ಅಳತೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಡಿಮೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಾ ಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ಊಟಮಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
- 19ಮೋಶೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಮರುದಿನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
