ಅವನು ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಕರ್ತನ ಪಕ್ಷದವನು ಯಾರು ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಲೇವಿಯ ಕುಮಾರರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು.
Avanu paaleyada baagilalli nintukondu--kartana pakshadavanu yaaru avanu nanna balige barali andanu. Aaga leviya kumaararellaru avana balige koodi bandaru.

- 26ಅವನು ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಕರ್ತನ ಪಕ್ಷದವನು ಯಾರು ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಲೇವಿಯ ಕುಮಾರರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು.
- 27ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ದ್ವಾರದಿಂದ ದ್ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರನನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನೂ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 28ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂರುಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಸತ್ತರು.
