1. 18ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು ಹೇನುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ದರು, ಆದರೆ ಆಗದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇನುಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದವು.
2. 19ಆಗ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು ಫರೋಹ ನಿಗೆ--ಇದು ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಫರೋಹನ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಠಿಣ ವಾಯಿತು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 20ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೋ. ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ನೀರಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸು.
4. 21ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೊಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ಮನೆಗಳೂ ಅವರು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ನೊಣಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವವು.
5. 22ಆದರೆ ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಣಗಳು ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸುವೆನು.
