ಅವನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಕೈಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ್ಯೂ; ಇಗೋ, ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

- 16ನಿಶ್ಚ ಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅರಸುತನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಅರಸನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಯಾವನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನೋ ಯಾವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿದನೋ ಅವನು ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಇವನು ಸಾಯುವನು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
- 17ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಫರೋಹನೂ ಅವನ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯವೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪರಿವಾರವೂ ಬಂದು ಬಹಳ ಜನ ರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದಿಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
- 18ಅವನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಕೈಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ್ಯೂ; ಇಗೋ, ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
- 19ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಅವನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ವಿಾರಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವ ದಾಣೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
- 20ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆಗ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಉರ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವನು; ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದು ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅಪರಾಧದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವೆನು.
