ಈ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಅಳತೆಗಳು ಮೊಳದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಇವೆ; ಮೊಳ ಅಂದರೆ ಮೊಳದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಹಿಡಿ ಉದ್ದ; ಕೆಳಭಾಗದ ಎತ್ತರವು ಒಂದು ಮೊಳ, ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೈ ಅಗಲದಷ್ಟು ಅಂಚಿನ ಉದ್ದವು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಒಂದು ಮೊಳ, ಅಂಚಿನ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ; ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ದಿಂಡಿನ ಅಗಲವು ಒಂದು ಮೊಳ; ಇದೇ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳ.

- 15ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮೊಳವಾಗಿಯೂ; ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರ ಬೇಕು.
