ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಂದಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಸಾಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸದಷ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

King James Version (KJV): And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

4ಮೊದಲು ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಬಂದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.
5ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಲೋಟನಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಕುರಿ ದನಗಳೂ ಗುಡಾರಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
6ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಂದಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಸಾಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸದಷ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
7ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ದನಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಲೋಟನ ದನಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಜಗಳವಾಯಿತು. ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರೂ ಆಗ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
8ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಲೋಟನಿಗೆ--ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ನನ್ನ ದನಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದನಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಜಗಳವಿರಬಾರದು; ನಾವು ಸಹೋದರರು.
