ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ಆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಾನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಶೆಕೆಲ್‌ ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು; ಅದು ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಏನು? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಶವವನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡು ಅಂದನು.
Odeyane, nanna maatannu kelu, aa bhoomiyu naanooru belliya shekel beleyulladdu; adu nanagoo ninagoo enu? Ninna hendatiya shavavannu hoonidu andanu.

- 15ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ಆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಾನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಶೆಕೆಲ್‌ ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು; ಅದು ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಏನು? ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಶವವನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡು ಅಂದನು.
- 16ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಎಫ್ರೋನನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಹೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಎಫ್ರೋನನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಬೆಲೆ ಅಂದರೆ ವರ್ತಕರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಯುವ ನಾಲ್ಕುನೂರು ಶೆಕೆಲು (ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು) ತೂಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
