1. 8ಆಗ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಳುವಿಯೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಕನಸುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
2. 9ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಸೂರ್ಯನೂ ಚಂದ್ರನೂ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳೂ ನನಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದವು ಅಂದನು.
3. 10ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೂ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕಂಡ ಈ ಕನಸು ಏನು? ನಾನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
4. 11ಆಗ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚು ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ಆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡನು.
5. 12ಆಗ ಅವನ ಸಹೋ ದರರು ಶೆಕೆಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.
