ಅವನನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೊಲ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ (ಅವನಿಗಿದ್ದ) ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಿತ್ತು.

King James Version (KJV): And it came to pass from the time [that] he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

3ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದೂ ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ನೋಡಿದನು.
4ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಪೆಹೊಂದಿ ಅವನ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿದನು. ಪೋಟೀಫರನು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ತನಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
5ಅವನನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೊಲ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ (ಅವನಿಗಿದ್ದ) ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಿತ್ತು.
6ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ತಾನು ತಿನ್ನುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವದರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಸುರೂಪಿಯೂ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.
7ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣುಹಾಕಿ--ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗು ಅಂದಳು.
