ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನ ಪಾನದಾಯಕನೂ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಾರನೂ ಐಗು ಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಭುವಿಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

- Genesis 39:20–23 ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 39:20–23ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ರಾಜನ ಕೈದಿಗಳು ಬಂಧಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದನು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಆ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕೈದಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕಾದವುಗಳೆನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನೇ ಮಾಡಿಸುವವನಾ ದನು.ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಸೆರೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಯಾವದಕ್ಕೂ ಚಿಂತೆಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಸೆರೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಯಾವದಕ್ಕೂ ಚಿಂತೆಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
