ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

- 24ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳ ಕೊಂಡರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದನು.
- 25ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
- 26ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ನೆಲದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
- 27ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮುದುಕನಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿದೆಯೋ? ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಅಂದನು.
