ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ರಿಗೂ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಫರೋಹನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಮ್ಸೇಸ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

- 13ಆದರೆ ಬರವು ಅತಿ ಘೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಹಾರ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶವೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾದವು.
