1. 3ಫರೋಹನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸವೇನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳೂ ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
2. 4ಅವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಾಮವು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರ ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರು ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವರಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
3. 5ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಫರೋಹನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ ರರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
4. 6ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು. ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಾಸವಾ ಗಿರಲಿ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮಗಿರುವ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಚಾರಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
5. 7ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬ ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವ ದಿಸಿದನು.
