ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಬರಿದಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಬಳ್ಳಿಯಾಗಿದೆ, ಅವನು ತನಗಾಗಿ ಫಲಫಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ಬಹಳ ಫಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ದೇಶದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ತನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಂದವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ.
Israel [is] an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ಭೇದವಾಯಿತು, ಈಗ ಅವರು ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳೆಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಆತನು ಅವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ, ಅವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವನು.
Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
ಅವರು--ನಮಗೆ ಅರಸನಿಲ್ಲ, ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಅರಸನು ನಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
ಅವರು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ವಿಷದ ಕಳೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಲದ ಸಾಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
ಬೇತಾವೆನಿನ ಕರುಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಭಯಪಡುವರು; ಅದರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಅವರಿಂದ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಕಾರಣ ಅಂದು ಅದರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟ ಜನರೂ ಪೂಜಾರಿಗಳೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
ಅದು ಸಹ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಯಾರೇಬನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಯೂರಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವದು; ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದು ವದು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ಪಡುವದು.
It shall be also carried unto Assyria [for] a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
ಸಮಾರ್ಯವಾದರೋ ಅದರ ಅರಸನು ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೊರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವನು;
[As for] Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪಾಪವಾದ ಅವೇ ನಿನ ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿಹೋಗುವವು. ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳೂ ಕಳೆಗಳೂ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವವು; ಅವರು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿರಿ, ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಿರಿ ಅನ್ನುವರು.
The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನೀನು ಗಿಬ್ಯದ ದಿನಗಳ ಮೊದ ಲಿನಿಂದ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ; ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಂಡರು. ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಗಿಬ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ.
O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸುಂಟು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಎರಡು ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡುವಾಗ ಜನರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬರುವರು.
[It is] in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
ಎಫ್ರಾ ಯಾಮು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತೆನೆಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತುಳಿ ಯುವ ಕಡಸಾಗಿದೆ; ತುಳಿಯುವದನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡು ತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅದರ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋದೆನು. ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ಸವಾರಿಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಯೆಹೂದ ಉಳುವನು, ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆಯುವನು.
And Ephraim [is as] an heifer [that is] taught, [and] loveth to tread out [the corn;] but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, [and] Jacob shall break his clods.
ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಿರಿ, ಕರುಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ; ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಬೀಳುಬಿದ್ದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅಗೆಯಿರಿ; ಆತನು ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಸಮಯ ಇದೇ.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
ನೀವು ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದಿರಿ. ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಫಲವನ್ನು ತಿಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಹಲವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.
Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಭೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವದು; ಶಲ್ಮಾನನು ಬೇತ್‌ ಅರ್ಬೇ ಲನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಟೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಶಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು; ತಾಯಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿ ಪುಡಿಪುಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಳು.ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಹಳ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಬೇತೇಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದು. ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು (ಹಾಳಾಗುವನು).
Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon [her] children.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಹಳ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಬೇತೇಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದು. ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು (ಹಾಳಾಗುವನು).
So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
