ಆದರೂ ಓ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನನಗೆ--ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಹಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೋ; ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ?
Aadaroo o kartanaada devare, neenu nanage--holavannu hanakke konduko; saakshigalannu idu endu heliddee; aadaagyoo pattanavu kasdeeyara kaiyalli oppisalpattideyallaa?

- 24ಇಗೋ, ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ; ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಕ್ಷಾಮ, ಜಾಡ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀ.

- 26ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
- 27ಇಗೋ, ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನು, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರ ದೇವರು; ನನಗೆ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಉಂಟೋ?
