ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನೇ, ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

Aadaagyoo yehoodada arasanaada chidkeeyane, kartana vaakya vannu kelu. Kartanu heege heluttaane--neenu kattiyinda saayuvadilla.

2ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡು ವನು.

5ಸಮಾಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ; ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಅರಸನಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ (ಸುಗಂಧ ಗಳನ್ನು) ಸುಡುವರು; ಹಾ, ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು; ನಾನೇ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
