ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ರೇಕಾಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾದಾಬನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ

7ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಬೇಡಿರಿ; ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಅಂಥದ್ದು ನಿಮಗಿರಬಾರದು; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಪರಕೀಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
8ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ರೇಕಾಬನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾದಾಬನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ
9ವಾಸಮಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿ ದ್ದೇವೆ; ನಮಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಗಳೂ ಹೊಲಗಳೂ ಬೀಜವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
10ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯೋನಾದಾಬನು ನಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕೇಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
