ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತ ನಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು--ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಮೂರು ದಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು; ಹೌದು, ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದರು; ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅಂದನು.
Avanu innoo maata naaduttiralu mattobbanu bandu--kasdeeyaru mooru dandugalannu katti, ontegala mele biddu, avugalannu takkondu sanharisidaru; haudu, sevakarannu kattiyinda hodedaru; naanobbanu maatra ninage tilisuvudakke tappisi kondenu andanu.

- 19ಅಗೋ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾಳಿ ಬಂದು ಮನೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮೂಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿತ್ತು; ಅವರು ಸತ್ತರು; ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅಂದನು.
