ಕೊರತೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬರದಿಂದಲೂ ಒಂಟಿಗರಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳೂ ಬೈಲೂ ಆದ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ;

Korate yindaloo baradindaloo ontigaraagi poorva dalli haaloo bailoo aada aranyakke oduttaare;

King James Version (KJV): For want and famine [they were] solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.

1ಆದರೆ ಈ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗಿಂತ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕುರಿಮಂದೆಯ ನಾಯಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದೆನು
2ಹೌದು, ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಲಾಭ ನನಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ? ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುದಿಪ್ರಾಯವು ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು.
3ಕೊರತೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬರದಿಂದಲೂ ಒಂಟಿಗರಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳೂ ಬೈಲೂ ಆದ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ;
4ಪೊದೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಉಪ್ಪಿನಸೊಪ್ಪು ಕೀಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಜಾಲಿಯ ಬೇರುಗಳೇ ಅವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ.
5ಜನರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ; (ಕಳ್ಳರ ಹಿಂಡಿನಂತೆ ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾರೆ).
