ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತೇಮಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಫಜ ನಿಗೆ -- ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋಬನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸರಿಯಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 8ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಈಗ ಏಳು ಎತ್ತುಗಳೂ ಏಳು ಹೋತಗಳೂ ನಿಮ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋಬನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋಬನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವನು. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವೆನು. ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋಬನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸರಿಯಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತಾ ಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 9ತೇಮಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಫಜನೂ ಶೂಹ್ಯ ನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನೂ ನಾಮಾಥ್ಯನಾದ ಚೋಫರನೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕರ್ತನು ಯೋಬನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.
