ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿನ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಯೋಹಾನನೂ ಅವನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

- 33ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನೇ ನನಗೆ-- ಯಾವಾತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತ್ಮನು ಇಳಿದು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರು ವದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡುವಿಯೋ ಆತನೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ನಿಂದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುವಾತನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 34ನಾನು ನೋಡಿ ಈತನೇ ದೇವರಮಗನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 35ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿನ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಯೋಹಾನನೂ ಅವನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
- 36ಆಗ ನಡೆ ದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನು (ಯೋಹಾ ನನು)--ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರ ಕುರಿಮರಿ! ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 37ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರು.
