1. 19ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಒಂದು ಶಿರೋನಾಮವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಆ ಬರಹವು ಏನಂದರೆ--ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಎಂಬದೇ.
2. 20ಈ ಶಿರೋನಾಮ ವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಓದಿದರು. ಯೇಸು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ಇಬ್ರಿಯ ಗ್ರೀಕ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಲ್ಯಾಟಿನ್‌ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

5. 23ಸೈನಿಕರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಸೈನಿಕ ನಿಗೆ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆತನ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರು; ಆದರೆ ಆ ಅಂಗಿಯು ಹೊಲಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ನೇಯ್ದದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
