ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈಗ ಇದನ್ನು ತೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಔತಣದ ಪಾರುಪತ್ಯಗಾರನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅವರು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
Aatanu avarige--eega idannu todikondu hogi autanada paarupatyagaaranige kodiri endu helalu avaru takkondu hogi kottaru.

- 9ಔತಣದ ಪಾರುಪತ್ಯ ಗಾರನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂತೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯದವನಾಗಿ (ನೀರನ್ನು ತೋಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು) ಮದಲಿಂಗನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು
- 10ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮೊದಲು ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಜನರು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಇದು ವರೆಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.
