ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಆತನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೆಂದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಪಟ್ಟರು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ--ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 28ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ನೀರಿನ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ--
- 29ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ; ಈತನು ಆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದಳು.
