2. 6ಅವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನು ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾ ಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸುಂಟೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
3. 7ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ರೋಗಿಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ನೀರು ಕದಲಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಳದೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಯಾರು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ನನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
4. 8ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ-- ಎದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆ ಅಂದನು.
5. 9ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆದನು; ಆ ದಿನವು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಾಗಿತ್ತು.
