ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ದೆಲೀಲಳು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವಳು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು ಎಂದು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಳು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

- 19ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಏಳು ಜಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿ ಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು.
- 20ಅವಳು--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತು ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತೊಲಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಬೇರೆ ಸಮಯಗಳಂತೆಯೇನಾನು ಹೊರಟು ಕೊಸರಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವೆನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
