1. 9ಆಗ ವಿಾಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿ ಅಂದನು. ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿ ನವನಾದ ಲೇವಿಯನು: ನಾನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
2. 10ವಿಾಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಇರು; ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವರುಷಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ದುಸ್ತು ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಹಾರ ವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಲೇವಿಯನು ಹೋದನು. ಲೇವಿಯು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಪಟ್ಟನು.
3. 11ಆ ಯೌವ ನಸ್ಥನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
4. 12ವಿಾಕನು ಲೇವಿಯನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಮಾಡಿ ದನು; ಆ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದನು; ಅವನು ವಿಾಕನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು.ಆಗ ವಿಾಕನು--ನನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಲೇವಿಯನು ಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು ವನೆಂದು ಈಗ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
5. 13ಆಗ ವಿಾಕನು--ನನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಲೇವಿಯನು ಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು ವನೆಂದು ಈಗ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
