ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗಿಬೆಯದ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯೂಹವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.

- 28ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಕೋ ಬೇಡವೋ ಎಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೊಂಡರು. ಕರ್ತನು--ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನಾಳೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 29ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಗಿಬೆಯದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಹೊಂಚಿ ನೋಡುವವರನ್ನಿಟ್ಟರು.
- 30ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗಿಬೆಯದ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯೂಹವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.
- 31ಆಗ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಯಾದ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೂ ಗಿಬೆಯಕ್ಕೂ ಹೋಗುವ ಎರಡು ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ
- 32ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು--ಅವರು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಮುರಿಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು--ಅವರನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಳಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾವು ಓಡಿಹೋಗೋಣ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
