ಅವರು (ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳು) ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು; ಆಗ ಆತನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೇಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿ? ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನೂ ವ್ಯಥೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದೆವು ಅಂದಳು.
