3. 7ಆತನು ಹೆರೋದನ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದ ಹೆರೋದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
4. 8ಹೆರೋದನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಆತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಬಹಳ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಆಶೆಪಟ್ಟಿ ದ್ದನು. ಆತನಿಂದಾಗುವ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡ ಲು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
