ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಗಂಡಸರೇ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ರಿಗೆ--ಪಂಕ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತರಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡ್ರಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

- 13ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವೇ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು--ನಾವು ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹೊರತು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಎರಡು ವಿಾನುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರು.

- 16ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಐದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ವಿಾನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಮುರಿದು ಜನಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹಂಚುವಂತೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
