ಆದರೆ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ತಾಯಿಯು ಜ್ವರದಿಂದ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಳು; ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವರು ಆಕೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

- 31ಆತನು ಬಂದು ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಿದನು; ಕೂಡಲೆ ಜ್ವರವು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಯಿತು; ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದಳು.
- 32ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಣುಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದವರನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು.
