ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸಿದರು; ಇತರರು ಮರಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

6ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಯೇಸು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸಿದರು.
7ಅವರು ಕತ್ತೇ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು.
8ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸಿದರು; ಇತರರು ಮರಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
9ಆಗ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಕೂಗು ತ್ತಾ-- ಹೊಸನ್ನ; ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಾತನು ಧನ್ಯನು;
10ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ; ಉನ್ನತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸನ್ನ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
