ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವಾಗ ಮದಲಗಿ ತ್ತಿಯ ಮನೇಮಕ್ಕಳು ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವರೋ? ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ತನಕ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
Adakke yesu avarige--madalinganu avara sangada iruvaaga madalagi ttiya manemakkalu upavaasa maaduvaro? Madalinganu avara sangada iruva tanaka avaru upavaasa maaduvadilla.

- 19ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವಾಗ ಮದಲಗಿ ತ್ತಿಯ ಮನೇಮಕ್ಕಳು ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವರೋ? ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ತನಕ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
- 20ಆದರೆ ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವರು.
- 21ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೊಸಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಹಳೆಯ ಉಡುಪಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಹಚ್ಚುವದಿಲ್ಲ;ಹಚ್ಚಿದರೆ ಹೊಸ ತುಂಡು ಹಳೆಯ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಹಿಂಜುವದರಿಂದ ಹರಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವದು.
