ತರುವಾಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

17ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಓ ಮೂರ್ಖ ಸಂತತಿಯೇ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ? ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲಿ? ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ದೆವ್ವವನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಅದು ಅವನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಯಿತು; ಆಗ ಹುಡುಗನು ಆ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾದನು.
19ತರುವಾಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
20ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದಲೇ; ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಕಾಳಷ್ಟು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ನಿಮಗಿರುವದಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ--ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅದು ಹೋಗುವದು; ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
21ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಉಪವಾಸಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲದೆ ಈ ತರವಾದದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
