1. 22ಆಗ ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುಚಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದೂ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಬಂದು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯಬೇಕೆಂದೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆನು. ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ಇದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಾ ಕೃಪೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು ಅಂದೆನು.
2. 23ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮ್ಮೋನು ಮೋವಾಬು ಅಷ್ಡೋದು ಎಂಬ ದೇಶಗಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು.
3. 24ಇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅರ್ಧ ಅಷ್ಡೋದಿನ ಮಾತು ಆಡಿದರು; ಅವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮಾತು ಆಡಲಾರದೆ ಈ ಜನರು ಅನ್ಯರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಆಡಿದರು.
4. 25ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಶಪಿಸಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವರ ಕೂದಲನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು--ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೂ ನಿಮಗೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡದೆ ಇರ್ರಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟೆನು;
5. 26ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಆದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಹಾಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಅರಸನು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ದನು; ಆದರೂ ಅನ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
