- 3ನಾವು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದು ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಲ್ಲವೋ?

- Numbers 11:1–4 ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 11:1–4ಜನರು ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅದು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕರ್ತನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಗೊಂಡನು. ಕರ್ತನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತಿ ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದಹಿಸಿತು. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಗ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಆರಿಹೋಯಿತು. ಕರ್ತನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ದಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಬೇರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಅವರೊಳಗಿದ್ದ ಮಿಶ್ರವಾದ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಜನರು ದುರಾಶೆಪಟ್ಟರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಹ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅತ್ತು--ನಮಗೆ ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ವವರು ಯಾರು?
