ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣು ಗಳಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಹೋರ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದರು.

26ಆರೋನನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ ನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸು; ಆರೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
27ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣು ಗಳಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಹೋರ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿದರು.
28ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿದನು; ಆಗ ಆರೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದರು.ಆರೋನನು ತೀರಿಹೋದನೆಂದು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮನೆಯ ವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ದಿವಸದ ವರೆಗೂ ದುಃಖಿಸಿದರು.
29ಆರೋನನು ತೀರಿಹೋದನೆಂದು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮನೆಯ ವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ದಿವಸದ ವರೆಗೂ ದುಃಖಿಸಿದರು.
