ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು--ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು; ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡರು.
Avanu avarige heliddu--ee raatri illi ilukolliri; aaga kartanu nanage heluva prakaara nimage uttaravannu koduvenu; aada kaarana movaabina prabhugalu bilaamana sangada ilukondaru.

- 7ಆಗ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಕಣಿ ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು; ಅವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- 8ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು--ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು; ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡರು.
- 9ದೇವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು.
- 10ಬಿಳಾ ಮನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗನೂ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
