ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಾಯವುಳ್ಳ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರು ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ.
