ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೋರ್‌ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷದ ಐದನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು.

39ಆರೋನನು ಹೋರ್‌ ಗುಡ್ಡ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಅವನು ನೂರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮೂರು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
40ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬರುವದನ್ನು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯ ರಿಗೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅರಾದನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
