- 7അവൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്ന സമയത്തൊക്കെയും ആണ്ടുതോറും അവൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു. അവൾ അവളെ മുഷിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവൾ കരഞ്ഞു പട്ടിണികിടന്നു.
- 8അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എല്ക്കാനാ അവളോടു: ഹന്നേ, നീ എന്തിന്നു കരയുന്നു? എന്തിന്നു പട്ടിണികിടക്കുന്നു? നീ വ്യസനിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പത്തു പുത്രന്മാരെക്കാൾ നന്നല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
