3. 27അതിന്നു ജനം: അവനെ കൊല്ലുവന്നു ഇന്നിന്നതൊക്കെയും കൊടുക്കും എന്നു അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
4. 28അവരോടു അവൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു അവന്റെ മൂത്ത ജ്യേഷ്ഠൻ എലീയാബ് കേട്ടു ദാവീദിനോടു കോപിച്ചു: നീ ഇവിടെ എന്തിന്നു വന്നു? മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ആ കുറെ ആടുള്ളതു നീ ആരുടെ പക്കൽ വിട്ടേച്ചുപോന്നു? നിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരവും നിഗളഭാവവും എനിക്കറിയാം; പട കാണ്മാനല്ലേ നീ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5. 29അതിന്നു ദാവീദ്: ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്തു ചെയ്തു? ഒരു വാക്കല്ലേ പറഞ്ഞുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
