എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ മരുമകൾ ഫീനെഹാസിന്റെ ഭാര്യ പ്രസവം അടുത്ത ഗർഭിണിയായിരുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം പിടിപെട്ടുപോയതും അമ്മാവിയപ്പനും ഭർത്താവും മരിച്ചതും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൾക്കു പ്രസവവേദന തുടങ്ങി; അവൾ നിലത്തു വീണു പ്രസവിച്ചു.

King James Version (KJV): And his daughter in law, Phinehas’ wife, was with child, [near] to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.

20അവൾ മരിപ്പാറായപ്പോൾ അരികെ നിന്ന സ്ത്രീകൾ അവളോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നീ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ അവൾ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.
21ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം പിടിപെട്ടുപോകകൊണ്ടും അമ്മാവിയപ്പനെയും ഭർത്താവിനെയും ഓർത്തിട്ടും: മഹത്വം യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു പൊയ്പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൾ കുഞ്ഞിന്നു ഈഖാബോദ് എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു.
